Forbes China, the licensed Chinese-language edition of Forbes, released its latest list of China’s best small businesses, ranking Shanghai Medicilon amongst its top 100. For the first time in the publication’s history, its annual “Forbes China Up-and-Comers List” includes separate rankings for 100 public and private companies.
Qualifications for consideration on this year’s Forbes China list include the following:
Research Scope: Small to medium-sized companies reaching 2010 annual sales of from ¥5 million to ¥1 billion, headquartered in mainland China.
Research Methodology: Data combines research and field visits. Data for selected enterprises include 2008 to 2010 financial data analysis.
Ranking Methodology: Growth targets (sales growth and profit growth rate) and rate of return (total rate of return on assets), and net rate of return on assets (net profit target interest) and size (sales total income indicators) and the net profit weighted according to the company’s data in 2011.
